I’m trying to use Ubuntu to mount a HTFS filesystem

I have a client who has a SCO Unix system running v3.5.2 that is migrating to a Windows server based system.  The crux of this migration has been getting the ‘data’ folder for their accounting system copied to a filesystem that can be used outside of the SCO system.  The system itself is a frightening one in itself, due to the ‘key’ to getting the system started is shorting out pins on the molex connector in order to get the power supply to turn on (apparently they’ve been doing this for years prior to me visiting the system.)

The long and short of this is that I hope to be able to use a Ubuntu 9.04 Live CD to boot the system, mount the HTFS (High Throughput FileSytem – though I’m skeptical at this point) partition and then copy it over to a FAT, FAT32, or NTFS partition on a separate hard drive.  If I can perform this seemingly simple operation, then I can move on with the migration.  I have been stuck on this problem for a few days after attempting to mount the drive in SCO without any luck (the separate drive.)
